    So one day I stumbled across this after playing XCom for several hours (damn times goes by real fast.. :p)

    Well written, and the author displays some rather fascinating knowledge regarding the details. 20 chapters, but considering its publication date and last updated in 2007, I honestly don't know if its abandoned or WIP.

    Still worth a read at almost 100,000 words. Also makes you want to jump back into the game. :D
