    Really? I think the increase of fanfiction respectability online has seen to a rising increase of quality fics that withstand the test of time.

    Innomine and Snapdragon, come on guys. There really isn't a single old fic that is still good? CR, TLIL, ABC and WOT all defy that statement.

    I believe I said that "very few" have withstood the test of time.

    ABC is the only reason I said "very few" instead of "none".

    And the only reason that ABC has done so well, is because it remains one of the only examples of a comedy fanfic done somewhat well.

    And I think the the reason for that, is that it's not meant to be taken seriously. Any fics meant to be taken seriously... they seem unrealistic at best to me these days.
