New chapters out, 346. Kishi has no clue as to how to kill off a character climatically. What he DOES know how to do, is suck Sasukes dick. Good lord. Why he didn't name the series Sasuke is beyond me.

 

Yeah, I've pretty much given up on canon for that reason. If I wanted an annoying emo kid, I'd look for one.

 

Just throwing this out, but would it not be wise to rename this thread "Naruto manga discussion" or something of that nature? Since this thread is moving away from 342.

Back to the topic:

I will admit that was definitely not the fight I was hoping for. You can't just throw in some flash-backs and a philosophical title and call it a battle.

 

I was hoping Sasuke would lose in a battle of wills to Orochimaru (and why wouldn't he?), and was anticipating all of the possibilities if that happened (mainly Naruto's reaction).

But noooooo.

Sasuke's defeat of Orochimaru seems eerily reminiscent of the 'Harry gains knowledge from Voldemort through mind magic' plots that were popular a while back.


...and Naruto's jutsu apparently has a major setback to it. Figures.

This chapter was... interesting to say the least.

 

Now lets see what he'll do to to Team 7. He's basically Orochimaru with Sharingan. Lets see what Naruto pulls out his ass this time.

 

Eh. While it's seriously putting my joking comments of Narutoball Z to the test, I'm holding out hope. Sure, Sasuke Has made completely unrealistic progress, but that means Naruto has to have too.

I don't care how lame Naruto SEEMS, Kishimoto HAS to pull out a jutsu capable of destroying a whole mountain or something. After all, you don't spend three years training under a sannin and only learn 1 jutsu that breaks your arm with each use.

Yeah, I know, but one, I didn't feel like typing the name, and two, my point still stands, because I have yet to see him blow up a whole mountain with it.

 

Heh, I just figured that most of the time spent with Jiraiya was for trying to control the Kyuubi's chakra. Heck, Jiraiya probably barely trained him, too busy looking at the bathhouses and such.

 

With every chapter released, I wonder more and more why the series is not called 'Sasuke.' Every time Naruto gets a little bit stronger, Sasuke makes an unbelievable leap in power. The only exception to this was when Naruto and Sasuke fought, and even then Sasuke's victory was bullshitted. With every chapter, my hope for this story redeeming itself dies all over again.

As for Naruto's technique, Naruto did not learn that from Jiraiya, he made it himself. Additionaly, it does not break his arm, it cuts every cell in his arm, and according to Tsunade, overusing it will prevent him from using chakra. Permanently.

 

Hmm...
Naruto's powerful attack + possible threat of loosing ninja career + powerful Sasuke to defeat...

= one predictable ending.

I sure hope my prediction is wrong and that Kishimoto pulls something a little less cliche out of the hat.

 

I have enough faith in kishi, that this will not happen...

I still can't believe, that Sasuke did won! This was Orochimaru, a kage-level ninja... or not with his sickness. My hope stands that Orochimaru is dead but influences Sasukes psyche. So could be funny.
Sasuke the new villian... in a few years.

I hope we see soon where the story is heeding. Sasuke now has Sannin-level, Itachi is going to be blind, Orochimaru is dead, and the Akatsuki aren't really that dangerous now...
So what's left? The Leader? The man must be Yondaime-level... at least.

Suigetsu... I don't know what I should think about this person or experiment. I hope it's a girl... just to see a new ship in the fandom.

 

Well, whatever. I don't have much faith, just enough that I'll keep reading just to see Sasuke hopefully get his ass beat.

But just ahead of time, if they start flying, I'm going to pull a GH and disown all Naruto related stuff, fandom included.
