I would disagree but clearly the sites I been surfing through defined NC-17 differently. Besides, I agree with the comment about ff.net staff prejudices. Naturally the story stays or goes would depending on if the staff likes it or not, which in this case means the story would definitely stay.

Never said that, and I DO think Vash's fic is NC-17/ over R-rated fiction for a variety of reasons, but as for how it still remains, *shrugs*.

I don't really know where your conspiracy theory is coming from. Seriously though, is FF.Net really clearing all those fics out? It seems so stupid of them to do so. Can I foolishly hope it is some sort of glitch, or H/G shipper hacked into thier computers and are tearing apart the universe as we know it?!
